Imagine Cup Roadshow
Yesterday, I attended a Seminar held by Microsoft Student Partners at De La Salle University Manila. We arrived there at around 8:30 AM but the event started at 10 AM. wahaw. So we got our name tags, track cards and copy of program at the Registration table and we also got dog tags for souvenirs. haha!
We were able to try games or apps from MSP and Imagine Cup. There were also NGOs who seeks for volunteers who can help our community. Aside from that, participants were able to try the Xbox Kinect (but ofcourse, I wasn’t able to try it because I’m too shy to dance in the hallway. haha)
There was a Raffle too wherein we got half of the prices. haha. My classmate won the grand prize which is a Windows Phone (siya na!).
After our break, the seminar started at 1pm. The speakers talked about the upcoming Imagine Cup at Sydney Australia. According to them, it was a lifetime experience. (if you want to know more about it, just google/bing it.) I was truly amazed with it. Technology was truly innovating if we would use it to solve the world’s toughest problems. Imagine Cup’s theme is to use Technology to solve the world’s toughest problems. And its participants were truly great. They really inspiring. And yeah, we have winners from the Philippines. Wildfire game made by Implication won 1st place @ Imagine Cup 2010 while another winner which is the Conjunct by Signum Fidei won 2nd place @ Imagine Cup 2011.

New Ballers
Got these ballers at NYCM. UMCOR visited them and spoke of the social issues that happen in our country. And they gave these ballers for souvenirs. Thanks to Kuya JM who got these ballers for us. :)

Hi guys please help us find our friend Noemi Lagman (21, 4’10, mid-heavy build, morena) who’s been missing since yesterday.. she’s a student of Asia Pacific College, Magallanes she left her house at Multinational Village, Paranaque yesterday (January 6) around 9am-10am to enroll carrying P33K. She was last seen at the entrance of Multinational Village near Duty Free, Paranaque. Her usual route going to school is from Multinational Village (Paranaque) to Heritage Hotel EDSA (Pasay) and to Asia Pacific College, Magallanes (Makati). Her classmates told us that she never reached school. Her mobile phone couldn’t be reached.

Again, God blessed me during 2011. He’s always there guiding me. He’s always there in good times and even in bad times. God never left me during those challenges and trials that I’ve experienced.
For that, thank You very much po Panginoon. :) I really felt Your love during my 18 years here on Earth. :)
Salamat po sa pamilyang walang sawang gumagabay sa akin sa aking pag-laki. Nung bata ako, mas gusto kong kasama ang friends at mga pinsan ko. Pero ngayon, malayo lang ako ng isang linggo sa kanila, batong-bato na ko. Kaya thank you Lord for giving me this awesome family! haha!
Salamat rin po sa aking pangalawang pamilya! Mga elders na tumatayong pangalawang magulang, mga kapwa kabataan na itinuturing ko ng mga kapatid, mga chikiting na susunod sa yapak namin at sa Pastor na kalog at cool. hehe. :)
And thank you Lord for letting me know these 3 persons. Mga taong nagpapasaya sa’kin kahit sa mga simpleng bagay lang. thank you po! :)

InstallFest 2011
This is what we received from yesterday’s IT Congress. Aside from that, Button Pins are also given. Our College Organization (SWITS) in partnership with Microsoft Student Partners held this seminar for us IT students in BulSU.
It was great. Although there are hindrances, it was a success! The presentations were good and worth listening to. (kahit ang ingay ng mga kaklase ko.)
There were free Software given to us also and it’s all legal. haha. Ang sayaaaa! Daming benefits! :)
Next year ulit. :D
